At the Space Academy, we have something called 'transition'. This is the process of going from a trainee cadet to a space ship pilot. It can be a bit scary at first, but it's great to be in full control.
If you are taking growth hormone therapy, you will go through your own transition at some point, when your care moves from a children's clinic to an adult clinic. This usually happens between the ages of 16 and 18 years old. You may want someone to go with you at first, but you will eventually be attending adult clinic appointments by yourself.
You will probably take a break from your growth hormone treatment, then be reassessed and tested again. There are many reasons why adults may benefit from growth hormone therapy, although it does not increase height after childhood. Together, you and your new team at the adult clinic will work out the best way forward for you.
